National Energy Administration: "During the 13th Five-Year Plan period, we will vigorously nurture the future hydrogen energy industry."
The National Energy Administration held a press conference on January 30th. Biang Guangqi, Deputy Director of the Energy Conservation and Technology Equipment Department of the National Energy Administration, stated that by the end of 2025, China's renewable energy hydrogen production projects will have a total capacity of over 250,000 tons/year, achieving a significant increase compared to the previous year. Projects in Kuche, Xinjiang, Ningdong, Ningxia, Chifeng, Inner Mongolia, Da'an and Songyuan, Jilin have been completed and put into operation, gradually establishing a complete industry process from hydrogen production to storage, transportation, and application. A number of major technological equipment breakthroughs have been achieved, laying a solid foundation for the development of the hydrogen energy industry. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, the National Energy Administration will work hand in hand with relevant departments such as the National Development and Reform Commission to strengthen industrial planning guidance, increase policy support, enhance core technology research and development, promote hydrogen energy pilot projects, improve standard certification systems, deepen international exchanges and cooperation, and vigorously cultivate the future hydrogen energy industry, making positive contributions to accelerate the construction of a new energy system and the development of an energy powerhouse.
