Spain's high-speed train has experienced a major accident, some routes are restricted in speed, and an investigation has been launched.

On January 18th and 20th, local time, high-speed train accidents occurred in the Spanish provinces of Crdoba and Catalonia, respectively. The high-speed train derailment and collision in Crdoba province resulted in 45 deaths and over a hundred injuries. The consecutive major accidents have drawn high attention from all sectors in Spain. The People's Party of Spain announced that they will establish an accident investigation committee in the Senate to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the two recent major railway accidents and the overall railway safety situation in the country.
