Vietnamese FPT Group established a semiconductor chip packaging and testing factory.

On January 28th, FPT Group of Vietnam announced the establishment of a semiconductor chip packaging and testing factory. This is the first semiconductor chip packaging and testing factory in Vietnam owned and operated by Vietnamese people. As planned, the first phase of the factory covers an area of 1600 square meters, including 6 functional testing lines and a dedicated reliability and durability testing area. The system is expected to be completed by April 30th. The second phase of the project plans to expand the factory to about 6000 square meters, increase investment in testing lines, traditional packaging lines, and advanced packaging lines, and increase annual production capacity to several billion products, focusing on serving the IoT, automotive, and edge AI SoC chip series.
