The Japanese stock market may fall, as Wall Street technology stocks were sold off overnight. The Nikkei index futures fell by 0.2% on the Singapore Exchange, to 53,220 points. The US dollar is trading at 152.98 yen, compared to 152.96 yen at the close of the Tokyo stock market on Thursday. Investors are watching for earnings reports from companies such as Daiichi Sankyo, Shiseido, and Komatsu. Prime Minister Naoe Koyo's economic plan is also being closely watched, as there will be a general election early next month. The Nikkei index closed flat at 53,375.60 points on Thursday.
