The EU has stated that it will provide approximately 200 million euros in aid to Ukraine.
On January 29th, the European Commission announced emergency aid of 153 million euros to Ukraine and Moldova, which is hosting refugees. To address immediate needs, the EU will provide 145 million euros in humanitarian assistance to Ukraine for protection, shelter, food, cash assistance, psychosocial support, as well as water and medical services. The EU will also provide 8 million euros to Moldova for the resettlement of Ukrainian refugees. In addition, the European Commission and the European Investment Bank jointly provided an additional 50 million euros in funding to Ukraine's National Oil and Gas Company on the same day. This funding will be used to support Ukraine's winter heating and energy supply.
