On January 28, the Development and Reform Commission of Henan Province organized a video conference to hold the 2026 rural economic work conference for the whole province's development and reform system. The meeting emphasized that in 2026, rural economic work should focus on the "1+2+4+N" target task system, learn and apply the experience of the "Millions of Projects," and focus on the high-quality construction of an agricultural strong province, with food security as the bottom line, and the development of new agricultural productivity as the key, focusing on five aspects of work. Second, emphasize benefiting and decontaminating, enhancing water security guarantee capabilities. Around the implementation of the national "River Strategy," continuously optimize the layout of water conservancy infrastructure construction, constantly enhance the flood control and disaster reduction capabilities of river basins, optimize water resource allocation capabilities, and strengthen water supply and irrigation guarantee capabilities. Third, emphasize livability and business-friendliness, expand and develop the endogenous force of beautiful rural areas. Learn and apply the experience of the "Millions of Projects," accelerate the construction of livable, business-friendly, and beautiful rural areas, focusing on improving the completeness of rural infrastructure, the convenience of rural public services, and the comfort of rural living environment. Fourth, emphasize protection and restoration, cultivate the driving force for sustainable ecological development. Focus on the high-quality development of ecological protection and ecological meteorological conditions in key areas, implement key regional ecological protection and restoration, and engineering projects such as smart meteorology for agriculture, and continuously consolidate and optimize the ecological security barrier. Fifth, emphasize innovation empowerment and the development of new agricultural productivity.
