Zhai Hong, the former party secretary and chairman of Huayang New Materials Technology Group Co., Ltd., has been expelled from the party.

According to the Shanxi Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision, recently, with the approval of the Shanxi Provincial Party Committee, the Commission has initiated an investigation into the serious violations of discipline and laws by Zhai Hong, former Party Secretary and Chairman of Huayang New Material Technology Group Co., Ltd. Upon investigation, it was found that Zhai Hong deviated from his original intentions, lacked a sense of awe, had a misplaced view of political achievements, and carried out "achievement projects" at the expense of the people; he disregarded the spirit of the eight-point regulations of the central government, accepted invitations that could affect the fair execution of official duties, received vehicles and driver services from private entrepreneurs, had expenses that should have been paid by himself covered by subordinate units, and accepted decoration services provided by a private entrepreneur; he violated organizational principles, did not truthfully explain the issues during organizational interviews, sought benefits for others in job adjustments, and accepted bribes; he failed to uphold the standards of integrity, accepting gifts and cash; he used his position to seek benefits for others in equipment procurement and project cooperation, and illegally accepted large sums of money. Zhai Hong severely violated the Party's political discipline, organizational discipline, and integrity discipline, resulting in serious violations of duty and suspected bribery crimes. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, he has not restrained himself and continued with his actions, which are serious in nature and have a detrimental impact, and should be dealt with seriously. In accordance with relevant regulations, after discussions by the standing committee of the Shanxi Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and approval by the Shanxi Provincial Party Committee, it was decided to expel Zhai Hong from the Party, revoke any benefits he enjoys, confiscate his gains from violations of discipline and law, and transfer his suspected criminal activities to the procuratorial organs for investigation and prosecution, along with the relevant assets.
