Beijing: Building a "15-minute home and community-based elderly care service circle" with home as the foundation, community as the support, and institutions as the backup.
The "Beijing Elderly Care Services Regulation" passed by the Beijing Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee will be implemented starting from July 1st this year. The regulation innovatively constructs a hierarchical classification, universally accessible, covering urban and rural areas, and sustainable development elderly care service system, breaking the limitation of focusing solely on home-based care, and covering the entire chain of elderly care service system. The regulation is the first in the country to solidify the three-level elderly care service network of "districts, streets and towns, communities and villages" through legislative means, providing a solid legal support for precise and comprehensive access to elderly care services for the elderly.
