Two departments: Determining that Beijing and other areas are included in the pilot areas for payment by disease category for the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine.

The Office of the National Medical Insurance Administration and the Integrated Department of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine issued a notice on determining the pilot areas for paying by disease for advantageous traditional Chinese medicine diseases. According to the requirements of the "Notice on Carrying out the Pilot Work of Paying by Disease for Traditional Chinese Medicine Disease with Advantages", the National Medical Insurance Administration and the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine organized experts to select the areas that applied for the pilot of paying by disease for advantageous traditional Chinese medicine diseases. After the corresponding procedures, it was determined that Beijing, Hebei, and 9 other provinces, as well as Inner Mongolia Tongliao, Liaoning Shenyang, and 9 other cities, would be included in the pilot. The pilot areas for paying by disease for advantageous traditional Chinese medicine diseases need to further improve the implementation plan, refine work measures, clarify timing and division of tasks, regularly summarize progress and effectiveness, actively and steadily promote the pilot work, accumulate a batch of experience in the reform of payment of traditional Chinese medicine medical insurance, and gradually promote it nationwide. Major problems encountered during the pilot process should be promptly reported.
