The Greek stock market rose more than 1.4%, reaching a new closing high since 2009.

The Athens Stock Exchange Composite Index rose 1.45%, closing at 2347.23 points, approaching the closing level of 2383.62 points on December 4, 2009, the closing level of 2620.44 points on November 12 of the same year, as well as the peak of 2932.45 points that year.
