Construction of the water supply project along the Yangtze River to augment the Han River has started.

According to Hubei Daily, at 11:18 on January 28, the construction preparation project of the water replenishment project along the Han River route in Xiangyang, NanZhang County, started construction. As an important part of the follow-up Yangtze River replenishment project after the South-to-North Water Diversion Project and a core project of the modern water network in Hubei "Jingchu Anlan", the project has a total investment of 15.662 billion yuan. After completion, it can draw 482 million cubic meters of water from the Yangtze River annually, and build a solid "water security barrier" for 4.044 million people and 396.2 million acres of farmland in Yichang, Jingmen, and Xiangyang in 3 cities and 14 counties.
