Puerto Rico declared a state of emergency due to the outbreak of the flu virus.

On January 27th, the Governor of Puerto Rico, Gonzalez, signed an executive order declaring a state of emergency due to the outbreak of the influenza virus in the territory, in order to activate special measures to protect public health. According to the Puerto Rican government statement, under the state of emergency, the government will mobilize resources, coordinate, and authorize the Minister of Health as the main person in charge, to guide, coordinate, and implement emergency response measures to protect public health.
