American agricultural machinery company John Deere is transferring production of excavators from Japan to a new $70 million factory in North Carolina, USA, and building a distribution center in Indiana to strengthen American manufacturing. Deere said in a statement on Tuesday that the factories in Kernersville, North Carolina, and Hebron, Indiana will create approximately 150 jobs each. Trump has previously criticized Deere for moving jobs overseas. On Tuesday, Trump said he would take action to address issues related to tractors.
