French Finance Minister Roland Lescure on Tuesday urged his counterparts from the Group of Seven countries to avoid taking unilateral actions. Earlier, conflicts arose between Europe and the United States last week over President Trump's tariff threats. The French Finance Ministry said in a statement after the meeting: "Lescure emphasized that in addressing the current international tensions, dialogue and seeking common solutions should take precedence over unilateral measures, and highlighted that collective interest lies in cooperation and dialogue, rather than division."
