Hong Kong's "Guangdong Care and Support Service Plan" has added two new elderly care homes.
The Social Welfare Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government announced today that the "Guangdong Residential Care Services Scheme" will add two new elderly homes in Guangzhou and Dongguan as recognized service providers starting from February 1. Together with the existing 24 elderly homes, the total number of participating elderly homes in the scheme will increase to 26, covering all 9 mainland cities in the Greater Bay Area, providing more options for Hong Kong seniors who are interested in elderly care in the Greater Bay Area. Elderly individuals on the Central Waiting List for Subsidized Residential Care Services and interested in participating in the scheme can apply to the responsible staff members following up on their services.
