China's top destination country for automobile exports has changed.
Recently, the latest data released by the Secretary-General of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, Cui Dongshu, shows that in 2025, China's automobile exports to Mexico reached 625,200 vehicles for the whole year, an increase of 180,500 vehicles compared to the same period, making Mexico the top export destination for China, while Russia, the former largest market, declined to 582,700 vehicles. This change signifies a deep adjustment in the pattern of China's automobile exports, as China is shifting from relying on a single market to a more diversified layout. However, with the implementation of Mexico's new tariff policies, this export pattern may be reshaped again in 2026.
