Gree Electric Appliances: Currently cooperating with over 20 chip design companies.

Gree Electric stated on the interactive platform on January 26 that Gree Electric has been strategically developing chip research and development since 2015, gradually building up the full industry chain capability from design to manufacturing. In 2022, Zhuhai Gree Electronic Components Co., Ltd. was established, fully responsible for the manufacturing of third-generation silicon carbide wafers, power device packaging testing, and semiconductor testing services, and started construction of a silicon carbide chip factory in December of the same year. Currently, there are over 20 chip design companies covered by external cooperation clients. The business model is mainly based on wafer foundry services, while also providing packaging and testing services, with client areas covering new energy vehicles, photovoltaic energy storage, industrial control, household appliances, etc., promoting the domestic silicon carbide chips in various scenarios.
