A new car customized by the British king, with all its components made in China.
Recently, the car collection of King Charles III of England welcomed a customized Lotus Eletre car, which is assembled using components made in China. This car features the "Royal Claret" color commonly used for royal and government vehicles in the UK. According to a report from the British newspaper The Telegraph on January 25, the new electric Lotus car of the king was spotted at the Sandringham Royal Estate in Norfolk. It is reported that the king himself purchased this car.
The Lotus car brand describes the Lotus Eletre as an "all-electric super SUV with racing DNA", with a range of up to 319 miles and a 900 horsepower electric motor. King Charles has always been known for his support of environmental protection, and choosing an electric car as the new royal mode of transportation will help reinforce this stance. Although this "all-electric super SUV" was customized at a specialist factory in Norfolk, its components are all manufactured in China. It is reported that in 2020, Geely Group invested 8 billion yuan to establish the Lotus Global Intelligent Factory in the Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone in Hubei Province.
