Broad-based ETFs have seen a continuous shrinkage in their share size recently, with some CSI 1000 ETF shares being close to halved.

Recently, the top broad-based ETF funds in the A-share market collectively saw a decrease in shares, with significant reductions in shares of broad-based varieties of different sizes and styles. As of January 23rd, data shows that in the past 7 trading days, the average decrease in shares of the 6 weight broad-based ETF funds with a size of over one hundred billion yuan in the entire market was 27.24%. Among them, the Hushen 300 ETF Huaxia saw the most significant decrease in shares, reaching 35.32%, and the fund's shares have now dropped to the level of July 2024, hitting a new low in the past year and a half. The recent decline in shares of the CSI 1000 series ETFs has been even more severe, with the top four in terms of size seeing an average decrease in shares of 47.9% in the past 7 days, with two products experiencing a decrease in shares of over 50%. Additionally, some products on the ChiNext and STAR Market are also under pressure, with the billion-yuan-sized ChiNext ETF E Fund and the STAR 50 ETF E Fund seeing a decrease in shares of 26.54% and 41.81% in the past 7 days respectively.
