Beijing will open up 50 dead-end roads this year. A large number of events, concerts, and other activities will be held in succession.

This year, the city will promote the construction of the 19th line phase II north extension and branch lines, the capacity enhancement of the 13th line, and the branch line of the 1st line; passengers will be able to find bus stops more quickly after getting off the subway, with a 93% increase in the proportion of transfers within 50 meters between buses and railways. This year, the city will implement 30 municipal-level projects to alleviate traffic congestion, build 150 green traffic light bands, and connect 1000 signal lights to make the journey smoother for drivers passing through traffic lights. The city's roads are constantly being updated, with improvements to Liangma River North Road and Anli Road to be completed this year. The city will also promote the construction of the third ring road, fourth ring road, and fifth ring road to reduce pressure on the ring roads. In addition, 50 "dead-end roads" like the west section of Liujia Yao Road will be connected within the year. A large number of sporting events, concerts, and other activities will be staged one after another. This year, the city will host international events such as the World Athletics Championships, the FINA Diving World Cup Finals, and the FIVB Volleyball Nations League, as well as youth events such as the "Three Major Ball" Open and the Beijing Marathon; establish a concentration area for the e-sports industry and organize national e-sports competitions and other events; encourage premieres and tours to debut in Beijing; improve the quality of Beijing Fashion Week and China International Fashion Week, and host the Beijing Auto Show. Beijing's cultural and tourism sectors will also continue to exert their efforts. 52 tourism and leisure greenways and a batch of high-quality ice and snow tourism destinations will be unveiled to visitors. The city will also promote the creation of national-level tourist resorts in Huairou Yanxi Lake and Yanqing World Park, build the Daxing International Tourist Resort, and promote the construction of the remaining phases of Universal Studios.
