According to statistics from the Ministry of Public Security, the total number of motor vehicles in the country is expected to reach 469 million by 2025, including 366 million cars; the number of motor vehicle drivers will reach 559 million, of which 525 million are car drivers. In 2025, there will be 35.35 million new registered motor vehicles nationwide, with 20.51 million new licensed drivers. The number of new registered motor vehicles has exceeded 30 million for 11 consecutive years, with 26.19 million new registered cars. The total number of motor vehicles in 103 cities nationwide will exceed 1 million. There are 103 cities in the country with over a million cars, an increase of 7 cities compared to 2024, with 47 cities having over 2 million cars, 27 cities over 3 million cars, and 7 cities with over 5 million cars.
