Midday Report: ChiNext Index opened higher but then fell by 0.86%; Precious metals sector collectively surged.

The three major indexes showed mixed performance, with the Shenzhen Component Index and the ChiNext Index opening high and closing low. In terms of sectors, the precious metals sector performed strongly, with Xiaocheng Technology rising by over 10%, and Hunan Gold, Hengbang Shares, Sichuan Gold, and Zhaoyin Gold hitting the limit up; oil and gas stocks fluctuated higher, with CNOOC rising by nearly 7% to a historical high; the securities sector was active, with Caitong Securities and Xingye Securities leading the gains; on the downside, the commercial aerospace sector continued to decline, with Shaoyang Hydraulic and Yaguang Technology falling by over 10%; the semiconductor sector collectively declined, with Nationalchip Microelectronics and Kema Technology leading the losses. Overall, there were more declines than gains in individual stocks, with over 3700 stocks falling. By the close, the Shanghai Composite Index was at 4141.01 points, up 0.12%; the Shenzhen Component Index was at 14332.86 points, down 0.74%; and the ChiNext Index was at 3320.81 points, down 0.86%. On the market, the precious metals, lead metal, and zinc metal sectors led the gains, while the military electronics, military information technology, and terahertz sectors led the declines.
