Beijing Municipality will support the construction of the Zhongguancun Science City as an artificial intelligence cluster area.

On the morning of January 25th, the Fourth Session of the 16th People's Congress of Beijing Municipality opened at the Beijing Conference Center. Mayor Yin Yong presented the government work report. The report proposed to enhance the efficiency of the scientific and technological innovation system. It was suggested to vigorously implement actions to lead in basic research and key core technology breakthroughs, strengthen national laboratories and other strategic scientific and technological forces, build new research and innovation platforms in areas such as brain-computer interfaces and high-temperature superconductors, and support more technology breakthrough tasks for enterprises. Continuing to leverage the leading role of Zhongguancun, a new batch of pilot reform measures will be introduced to accelerate the development of world-leading science and technology parks. Deepening the coordinated development of the "three cities and one district," supporting the construction of an artificial intelligence cluster in Zhongguancun Science City, promoting the development of high-end scientific instrument and equipment industries in Huairou Science City, accelerating the construction of future science city bases in Nankou and Machikou, and supporting innovative industrial cluster demonstration zones to better undertake research and development achievements from the three cities.
