During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, the province's cumulative investment in comprehensive transportation fixed assets exceeded 1 trillion yuan. In 2025, Hubei will focus on promoting the reconstruction and expansion projects of 16 national highways such as the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao, Shanghai-Chongqing, and Fu-Yin highways. The reconstruction and expansion projects of 7 main national highway arteries connecting the "Golden Triangle" of Wuhan, Xiangyang, and Yichang have all started. The total length of expressways in the province has reached 8,488 kilometers, exceeding 50% of the target set in the "14th Five-Year Plan". The main body of the second phase of the Jingjiang Waterway renovation project is about to be completed, and the construction of the major project of the Han-Xiang-Gui inland waterway transportation channel in the Hubei section is steadily progressing. The number of multimodal ports in the province has increased to 5, ranking first in the country.
