With the improvement of payment experience for foreign residents in Guangzhou, inbound consumption in Guangzhou is also increasing. According to the Financial Office of the Communist Party of Guangzhou Municipal Committee, in 2025, the number of transactions made by overseas residents in Guangzhou through overseas bank cards and mobile payments exceeded 35 million, with a total amount exceeding 11.3 billion yuan, representing an increase of 57% and 58% respectively compared to the previous year.
