Cui Dongshu, the deputy secretary of the China Passenger Car Association, stated in an article today that the trend of power batteries in December is weak, with both exports and domestic sales performing below average. The expected growth in new energy vehicle sales at the end of the year did not bring about the anticipated growth in battery sales, resulting in a poor actual situation. Despite this, installation rates continue to increase significantly, indicating that the demand for energy storage has not exceeded expectations. The extreme demand for truck batteries in December is heavily dependent on high subsidies, but the increase or decrease in production materials is related to subsidy and tax policies. It is predicted that pure electric heavy-duty trucks will experience a sharp decline in the early next year compared to the previous period.
