From "Domestic Communication" to "Global Communication", China's seafarer electronic certificate has officially obtained recognition from the International Maritime Organization.

The Maritime Bureau of the Ministry of Transport recently issued a notice stating that China's seafarer electronic certificates have officially obtained recognition from the International Maritime Organization. Since its implementation in China in August 2025, the certificate has made an important leap from being "domestically recognized" to "globally recognized," marking a new stage of international recognition for China's seafarer certificate digitization.
