Local time on January 22, it was reported that Netflix Co-CEO Ted Sarandos plans to attend a hearing by the US Senate Committee in February to testify about the company's proposed $827 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery's streaming and film production business. Sources revealed that Warner Bros. Chief Strategy Officer Bruce Campbell also plans to attend the hearing. The hearing is said to provide an opportunity for executives of both companies to seek support from the US government, as the deal is currently under regulatory review. Sources say it is not expected that Paramount executives will attend the hearing.
