Foxconn and Mitsubishi FUSO are collaborating to enter the electric bus market, aiming to start taking orders by 2027.

On January 22, Hon Hai held a press conference in Japan, announcing that they will establish a new company in partnership with Mitsubishi FUSO bus in the second half of the year. Each party will hold 50% shares, with the Toyama factory as the base, focusing on the development and production of electric buses. The goal is to start accepting orders for large electric buses in Japan by 2027, and then expand into the overseas market. The new company will be led by the current head of MFTBC bus business department, Takaloku Takaroku, as CEO, with headquarters in Kawasaki City.
