Tokyo Electric Power Company announced on the 22nd the draft plan for the discharge of contaminated water from the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant for the fiscal year 2026. The company plans to discharge contaminated water a total of eight times in the fiscal year 2026. According to the draft discharge plan, the number of planned discharges in the fiscal year 2026 is one more than in the fiscal year 2025, with an estimated total discharge of about 62,400 tons and a total of about 11 trillion becquerels of tritium. The first discharge plan for the fiscal year 2026 will take place in April.
