Blue Origin: Launching B2B satellite internet service, claiming bandwidth can reach up to 6Tbps.
Jeff Bezos' private aerospace company Blue Origin announced the launch of the TeraWave satellite communication network on Wednesday local time. The TeraWave constellation will consist of more than 5000 satellites and will strategically complement Amazon's Leo satellite internet. The key selling point is to provide up to 6Tbps of symmetrical data transfer speed to any location on Earth, equivalent to fully utilizing 6000 gigabit broadband connections simultaneously. The company explicitly stated that this service is only available to government, data centers, and other enterprise-level clients, and not open to ordinary consumers. In comparison, SpaceX's Starlink, which currently has over 9000 satellites in orbit, is planning to launch gigabit speed services later this year.
