Due to a scheduling conflict with the Davos Economic Forum, France will postpone the G7 finance ministers' meeting.
According to foreign media reports, France has postponed the first meeting of G7 finance ministers that was scheduled to take place during its term as the rotating chair of the G7. The meeting was supposed to discuss the tariff threats proposed by U.S. President Trump. The French Finance Minister had attempted to hold a video conference with his counterparts on Wednesday. However, an official from his office stated that due to scheduling conflicts with the Davos World Economic Forum and the ministers' schedules, the meeting has been postponed until next week. Currently, France is leading efforts to take decisive action in response to the escalating threats from the United States, including potentially utilizing Europe's strongest trade retaliatory tool, the so-called "anti-coercion tool."
