Sichuan issues this year's first high forest and grassland fire hazard orange alert.

According to the notice issued by the National Forest Grassland Fire Prevention and Control Headquarters Office on issuing a high forest fire hazard orange alert, after consultation and judgment by the Sichuan Provincial Forest and Grassland Fire Prevention Office, Sichuan Provincial Forestry Bureau, Sichuan Meteorological Bureau, and relevant local authorities, combined with meteorological conditions, phenology of forest areas, human activities, wild fire sources, and historical fire occurrence, it is forecasted that the forest and grassland fire hazard levels in the northern part of Panzhihua City, southwestern part of Ganzi Prefecture, and western and central parts of Liangshan Prefecture will remain at a high-risk level from January 21st to 25th, and a high forest and grassland fire hazard orange alert is issued.
