On January 21, the State Council Information Office held a press conference on the effectiveness of industrial and information development by 2025. Xie Zai, spokesperson for the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and director of the Information and Communication Development Department, stated that the next step for the ministry is to further implement the smart manufacturing project and continue to cultivate smart factories at different levels. They will expand the scale, set up more benchmarks, support leading companies in exploring future manufacturing models, continuously nurture a group of leading factories, and lead the overall industry transformation. They will refine standards, promote knowledge sharing, summarize best practices, and create replicable and promotable technical guidelines, standards, and solutions, sharing them with the entire industry. They will further open up collaborations, contribute to the "Chinese solution," and promote leading factories to become the source of technology, standards, and rules, accelerating their replication and promotion overseas to provide Chinese wisdom for the global manufacturing industry's digital and intelligent transformation.
