In the current rapid development of technology, smart home appliances are becoming increasingly popular among consumers. However, some consumers find after actual experience that smart home appliances do not match their promotional claims. Liu Xiu, secretary general of the Furniture Industry Association in Huizhou City, Guangdong Province, said that most smart home products are still in the "functional" development stage and have not yet entered the new AI intelligent ecosystem. Some products rely more on conceptual marketing, but with the development and iteration of technology, the prospects of the smart home appliance industry are promising. Song Xiangqing, vice president of the China Commercial Economic Society, pointed out that the phenomenon of "pseudo-intelligence" in the smart home appliance industry mainly manifests as the commercialization of functions, fragmented experiences, and hollow technologies. This is specifically reflected in the packaging of smart concepts solely through "Wi-Fi+App", the difficulty of interconnecting devices across brands, and weak algorithm learning capabilities. Only by returning to the essence of user needs, relying on core technology and high-quality services, can the industry move from "conceptual hype" to "practical application" and truly achieve the goal of serving people with technology. Song Xiangqing further explained that promoting the healthy development of the industry requires coordinated efforts from various parties, with the core being the establishment of an intelligent rating certification system based on the new national standards for smart home appliances by 2026. This will promote cross-brand protocol compatibility and strengthen supervision to crack down on false advertising.
