The French Prime Minister announced the use of a constitutional provision to force through the 2026 budget.

On the afternoon of the 20th local time, French Prime Minister Lecornu officially announced in the French National Assembly that he will use Article 49.3 of the French Constitution to push for approval of the 2026 national budget.
