The official WeChat account "WeChat Open Class" released a message stating that by 2025, the number of times global cross-border and overseas users use mini-programs will exceed 5 billion times; WeChat mini-program services have covered 100 countries and regions globally; WeChat cross-border payments have covered 78 countries and regions, supporting 36 currencies; The transaction amount completed through mini-programs in the second half of 2025 is expected to increase by more than 70% year-on-year. Officials stated that the transaction amount of Chinese outbound users using mini-programs increased by 60% year-on-year, and user portraits show that in addition to the young main force, the 35-55 age group is showing huge consumption potential and decision-making power; in terms of scenarios, the number of monthly transactions for transportation and travel mini-programs increased by over 140%, and the number of transactions for catering services increased by over 50%; mini-program services have already covered 108 sub-sectors.
