Cai Sheng, the Secretary of the Party Group and Director of the Guangzhou Housing and Urban-Rural Construction Bureau, expressed that urban renewal is an important lever for promoting high-quality urban development. We are actively promoting legislation on housing renewal on state-owned land, including the renovation of urban dilapidated houses, old residential areas, old streets, old factory areas, and old buildings. Through this legislation, we expect to systematically address the core obstacles and implementation difficulties in the work of housing renewal on state-owned land in Guangzhou: first, improve top-level design and establish a new model for existing stock renewal; second, standardize the renewal process and build a full-process implementation system; third, address the shortcomings in people's livelihoods and enhance people's well-being; fourth, inherit historical heritage, highlight cultural value; fifth, promote industrial upgrading, unleash economic vitality; sixth, stimulate endogenous power and construct a new mechanism for funding circulation.
