Qinghai: The production capacity of potassium chloride of Golmud Zangge Potassium Fertilizer Co., Ltd. is reduced from 2 million tons to 1.2 million tons.

The Department of Industry and Information Technology of Qinghai Province today issued a "Notice on the Reduction of Potassium Chloride Production Capacity of Golmud Cangge Potash Fertilizer Co., Ltd." The notice shows that Golmud Cangge Potash Fertilizer Co., Ltd. has serious mineral resource depletion in its mining area, with some production facilities being old and the resource utilization rate being low. In order to continue promoting the sustainable development and utilization of salt lake resources, a new "Qinghai Province Golmud City Chaharhan Salt Lake Cangge Potash Mining Section Potassium Magnesium Salt Mine Mineral Resource Development and Utilization Plan" has been prepared, and the company has voluntarily applied for a reduction in production capacity. Taking into account the opinions of the city and relevant departments, the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Qinghai Province has agreed to reduce the potassium chloride production capacity of Golmud Cangge Potash Fertilizer Co., Ltd. from 2 million tons to 1.2 million tons.
