The 2026 edition of the team travel contract will be implemented nationwide starting on March 31st.

To further regulate the tourism market order, enhance the quality of tourism services, and protect the legitimate rights and interests of tourists and travel agencies, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the State Administration for Market Regulation recently jointly released the 2026 version of group travel contract. This text will be implemented nationwide starting from March 31, 2026. The 2026 version of the group travel contract includes six sample texts, including "Group Domestic Travel Contract," "Group Outbound Travel Contract," "Mainland Residents Traveling to Taiwan Contract," "Domestic Travel 'Day Trip' Contract," "Domestic Travel Group Tour Operator and Local Reception Contract," and "Educational Travel Contract." The focus of the revisions and improvements are on strengthening the safety guarantees of travel agencies, clarifying rules for shopping activities and additional fee-based tourist activities, further improving the protection of tourists' rights, enhancing personal information protection, and regulating the operation of educational travel activities by travel agencies. The aim is to guide travel agencies to improve service quality, optimize the tourism consumption environment, and promote the standardized and orderly development of the tourism market.
