Chinese scientists have developed an autonomous micro-eye surgery robot system.
Recently, it was learned from the National Key Laboratory of Multimodal Artificial Intelligence System at the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences that researcher Bian Guibin and his team have successfully developed an autonomous microscopic eye surgery robot system and verified its clinical feasibility. This system can autonomously perform intraretinal and intravascular injections in the entire intraocular space, significantly improving the accuracy, safety, and consistency of ocular injections. It can assist surgeons in focusing more on surgical design and supervision tasks. The relevant results were recently published in the international academic journal "Science Robotics".
