The first A500 ETF "going global" under the interconnection mechanism is listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange today.
The Southern Fund Southbound CSI A500 Index ETF officially listed on the Singapore Exchange today, becoming the first CSI A500 ETF to "go out" under the Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect mechanism. The Southern Fund Southbound CSI A500 Index ETF listed on the Singapore Exchange will invest at least 90% of its net assets in the A500 ETF Southbound, helping inject capital into the optimization of China's capital market structure and the development of new productive forces. In 2022, the Shenzhen Stock Exchange and the Singapore Exchange ETF Connect officially launched, opening up investment channels for investors in China and Singapore. The first pair of two-way ETF Connect products, the Southern Fund Southernbound FTSE Asia Pacific Low Carbon Select ETF and the Southern Fund Southbound CSI Science, Technology and Innovation 50 Index ETF were successfully listed on the Shenzhen and Singapore exchanges respectively. By investing in each other's market-specific ETF products, they effectively guide various resource elements to focus on key areas such as technological innovation and green low-carbon, achieving the "going out" of Chinese ETFs and the "introduction" of Singaporean ETFs.
