Ford looking to buy BYD batteries to expand hybrid market? Official response: Will be in talks with different companies in many business areas.

Recently, there have been reports that Ford Motor Company is in discussions with BYD about a battery cooperation plan, with the core content being the purchase of BYD batteries for some of Ford's hybrid models. Currently, the two sides are still discussing specific cooperation mechanisms, one of which is that Ford may use BYD batteries in vehicle factories outside the United States. In response to this news, Ford China stated: "We are in various discussions with different companies in many business areas. We do not comment on rumors or unfounded speculation." As of now, BYD has not responded to this matter.
