Reporters learned today that as of now, China has been actively promoting the carbon footprint labeling certification pilot work for 10 types of products. 26 certification organizations have established a certification pilot network covering 25 provinces and 57 regions nationwide. The State Administration for Market Regulation focuses on lithium batteries, photovoltaic products, steel, textiles, electronics, tires, cement, electrolytic aluminum, urea, wood products, and other 10 types of products with urgent market demand, severe external trade pressure, significant emission reduction contributions, complete data collection, and obvious driving effects on the industrial chain supply chain. They are promoting the product carbon footprint labeling certification pilot work, releasing the "Product Carbon Footprint Labeling Certification Pilot Certification Catalog," "Product Carbon Footprint Labeling Certification General Implementation Rules," and 17 specific implementation rules for product certification. A pilot working group consisting of 89 experts from government departments, project owners, industry associations, certification organizations, etc. has been established to compile work guides and select 26 certification organizations nationwide to participate in the pilot activities.
