According to data from Counterpoint Research, despite the increasing shortage of key memory chips, Apple's iPhone shipments in the Chinese market increased by 28% during the holiday season, reclaiming the top position in the market. It is estimated that the iPhone 17 series phones attracted a large number of consumers, accounting for one-fifth of the total shipments of Apple phones in December last year. Counterpoint analysts wrote, "Looking ahead, it is expected that memory prices will further increase, with a growth rate of 40% to 50% in the first quarter of 2026, and then another increase of about 20% in the second quarter of 2026." They also stated, "Smartphone manufacturers are expected to optimize their product portfolio, particularly focusing on reducing the scale of low-end models to maintain profit margins."
