The Director of the Energy Statistics Department of the National Bureau of Statistics, Hu Hanzhou, stated in a document that under the "dual carbon" goal, China is actively promoting the green and low-carbon transformation of energy, with the proportion of coal consumption continuing to decrease and the proportion of clean energy consumption steadily increasing, further optimizing the consumption structure. By 2025, the proportion of non-fossil energy in total energy consumption will increase by about 2 percentage points compared to the previous year, surpassing oil to become the second largest energy type and becoming the main source of energy increment. Preliminary calculations show that total energy consumption in the whole society will increase by 3.5% compared to the previous year in 2025. After deducting the energy consumption of raw materials and non-fossil energy, the energy consumption per unit of GDP will decrease by more than 5% compared to the previous year. The energy consumption of industrial enterprises above a certain scale has continued to decrease for two consecutive years, and energy saving in industry has achieved new results.
