National Bureau of Statistics: Agricultural economy is expected to be stable and improving by 2025.

Director Wei Fenghua of the Department of Rural Social and Economic Survey of the National Bureau of Statistics stated in a document that in 2025, the overall national level of agricultural producer prices decreased by 3.7% compared to the previous year. The decrease in prices for each season was 1.6%, 1.1%, 4.5%, and 3.8% for the first to fourth quarters respectively, with the decrease in the fourth quarter narrowing slightly. By category, agricultural product prices decreased by 2.1% compared to the previous year, livestock and its products prices decreased by 7.5%, forestry product prices decreased by 2.5%, and fishery product prices decreased by 1.2%. By variety, the prices of rice increased by 0.1% compared to the previous year, while wheat, corn, and soybean prices decreased by 1.9%, 3.8%, and 3.6% respectively. Vegetable prices decreased by 2.9%, while fruit prices increased by 0.6%. The price of live pigs decreased by 11.2%, live cattle increased by 2.8%, live sheep decreased by 0.8%, and live poultry prices decreased by 4.0%. In 2025, China's agricultural economy situation is stable and improving, with stable development in grain and important agricultural product production, providing strong support for addressing risks and challenges and promoting high-quality economic and social development.
