National Bureau of Statistics: overall stable consumer prices for residents, core CPI moderately rising

The consumer price index for the whole year remained unchanged compared to the previous year. When classified, the prices of food, tobacco and alcohol fell by 0.7%, clothing prices rose by 1.5%, housing prices rose by 0.1%, prices of daily necessities and services rose by 0.9%, transportation and communication prices fell by 2.6%, education, culture and entertainment prices rose by 0.8%, medical care prices rose by 0.8%, and prices of other goods and services rose by 9.3%. In terms of food, tobacco and alcohol prices, pork prices fell by 6.1%, fresh vegetable prices fell by 3.9%, grain prices fell by 1.0%, and fresh fruit prices rose by 1.2%. The core CPI, excluding food and energy prices, rose by 0.7%, an increase of 0.2 percentage points compared to the previous year. In December, the consumer price index rose by 0.8% year-on-year, an increase of 0.1 percentage points compared to the previous month, and a 0.2% increase from the previous month. The industrial producer price index for the entire year fell by 2.6% compared to the previous year; in December, it fell by 1.9% year-on-year, and rose by 0.2% compared to the previous month. The industrial producer purchase price index for the entire year fell by 3.0% compared to the previous year; in December, it fell by 2.1% year-on-year, and rose by 0.4% compared to the previous month.
