National Bureau of Statistics: The average urban survey unemployment rate in the country in 2025 was 5.2% for the whole year. In December, the urban survey unemployment rate in the country was 5.1%. The survey unemployment rate for local registered labor force was 5.3%; for migrant registered labor force was 4.7%, with the survey unemployment rate for migrant agricultural registered labor force at 4.4%. The urban survey unemployment rate in 31 major cities was 5.1%. The average weekly work hours for employed personnel in the country was 48.6 hours. The total number of migrant workers in 2025 was 301.15 million, an increase of 1.42 million compared to the previous year, with a growth of 0.5%. Among them, there were 121.09 million local migrant workers, an increase of 0.1%; and 180.06 million migrant workers who went out for work, an increase of 0.8%.
