Institute of Physical Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences: Making new progress in the mechanism of self-fusion of liquid metal deformation.
The application of deformable liquid metal in biomedical, flexible electronics, micro-nano motors and other fields is crucial. Compared to rigid micro-nano metal materials, flexible liquid metal has stronger compliance and easier controllability. Recently, the Institute of Physical and Chemical Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences has made significant progress in the research of the dynamic behavior mechanism of deformable liquid metal nanoparticles inside and outside cells. The study reveals the targeted self-assembly, intracellular self-fusion, and lysosome escape dynamic mechanism of liquid metal nanoparticles in the tumor microenvironment from both theoretical and experimental levels, providing new ideas for the design of a new generation of intelligent nano-drugs.
